Minutes northeast of us if you were driving over to the airport. The former Vice President set to hold a drivein event in the next hour. Well be watching that as well. This state, this could very well be the state that decides the election. Well have you covered in pennsylvania for the next couple days. Lets get to our top stories on this monday. Fox Business Team coverage. Lauren simonetti watching the markets for us. Blake burman at the white house. Hillary vaughn in pittsburgh. First the markets on the election eve. Lauren . Lauren also the first trading day of november. It is just the second up day for the dow in the last seven but well take it. 422 points in the green. The s p is rebounding after its worst week since march. The big rally that we had this morning was juiced by the strongest manufacturing data in over two years. It faded and then it came back right at the close. We did see a rotation out of those big megacap tech stocks. Even some popular work at home plays whether its a zoom or docusign, you can see those stocks are done, into industrials and retail. Look at that. Gap up seven. United rentals up 8 . I was going to tell you there was just three sectors in the red today but they all ended in the green. Consumer discretionary, amazon, com services apple, these stocks were sharply down, but even recovering most of the losses. Google finishing with a plus arrow, a plus sign over there. Investors are getting bullish on the stocks that could do well in 2021 especially if you get stimulus. One the beneficiaries would be the small caps. You saw that gain of 2 for the russell 2000. What tomorrow looks like with the election upon us is anyones guess. You have a fed meeting and a jobs report on friday, connell. Connell those Little Things as well. Lauren, thank you. Lets get out to the campaign trail now. President trump has been all over the place today. Five rallies, four states, before he wraps things up early tomorrow morning. One is as we mentioned the airport close the broadcast location here in the state of pennsylvania. Live to blake burman to sum it all up, at least try to, blake. Reporter final day finally here, connell. Five different stops in four states for President Trump. It started in North Carolina this morning. He just wrapped minutes ago in pennsylvania. He is off to the midwest. The president will go to michigan, then to wisconsin, then back to michigan as he will end tonight in grand rapids. The place he ended his 2016 campaign. A bit of superstition there. When you look at the map, look at all different possibilities, normally we talk about florida, ohio, how important the states are, this goround potentially pennsylvania could be the crucial state. That is where the president just finished up moments ago. Again he was talking about the moment at the final debate where joe biden said he would transition away from the oil industry, something that the president has been keying in on here down the stretch. Listen here once again. President trump bidens plan to ban fracking is an economic death sentence for pennsylvania. Bidens Energy Shutdown will wipe out your jobs, decimate your towns, eliminate the factories and send the state into a nightmare of crippling poverty. Youve been there youve been there you had the best three years that you have ever had under President Trump. Reporter if you look at the public polls, connell, they show joe biden is the favorite heading into tomorrow. Though i can tell you speaking to folks both at the white house and over at the campaign there is a very real sense of optimism and hope. They like where they stand on this as day heading into election day tomorrow. President s campaign manager, bill stepien posted this out, posted a long thread going state by state. Let me sum it up in one state, President Trump is ahead where he was in 2016 by a very key measure. The mesh sure that actually matters. Votes cast, votes left to be cast. Youve seen reports of democrats being nervous around well they should be. That is the read heading into the final day. It all unfolds tomorrow, connell. Back to you. Connell on that point of votes left to be cast, that is what they need. They need a big inperson turnout here especially in pennsylvania if they want to make up for the reporter i was going. Connell go ahead. Blake, thank you, my friend. Blake burman back at the white house on the north lawn. Lets flip over to the Biden Campaign. They obviously know all of this as well. The democratic nominee approaching the finish line with stops here in pennsylvania. He has been in ohio as well. Hillary vaughn is live in pittsburgh with the latest on mr. Biden. Hillary . Reporter hi, connell. Joe bidens campaign for white a while is openly warning that they think President Trump would not accept the results of election but on election eve today the Biden Campaign is making it clear their strategy is not to concede on Election Night because they dont think that President Trump will have enough same day turnout to win it all on Election Night. Under no scenario will donald trump be declared a victor on Election Night. We think that is really fundamental how we want to approach tomorrow. Reporter the Trump Campaign says that Biden Campaign is spreading disinformation through their surrogates saying in a statement that, operatives are advising surrogates and media to create a smokesscreen casting blame all around, imagining postal delays or fallly claiming mailin ballots simply not returned should be considered legitimate votes that should be counted. Biden is making a final sweep through the swing state of pennsylvania today, his first stop this morning was a lastminute add yesterday to ohio, where his Campaign Says they think they have a chance to enhance the map. Biden on the ground in the keystone state is making a final pitch to voters as prounion and profracking. By the way, no matter how many times trump has tries to lie about it, i will not banning fracking. Never said i would. You know one thing i always been able to count on my whole career, unions. I know how to say union. [cheering] working folks in union. Reporter biden will cap off his campaign hosting one of his last drivein rallies here at heinz field where the Pittsburgh Steelers play. He will have a special guest tonight, lady gaga. Biden added two events tomorrow on election day here in pennsylvania. Were waiting to get the final timing for that. But while biden is preparing his final pitch to voters here, connell, he is veering a little off script. Earlier today he called trump a loser. That was not prepared, part of his prepared remarks released by the campaign. Connell . Connell all right. Check the teleprompter. No sign of loser in there. Hillary, thanks. What a world in these final few days of the campaign. Hillary vaughn live in pittsburgh. As hillary was saying, blake before, the road for victory for President Trump and certainly President Biden will run through this state. I had a chance to ask Pennsylvania Republican congressman fred keller what the key was is for the president to repeat his wouldnt of four years ago. The president needs to stay on message, pro energy, pro agriculture and for the fact he has not forgotten helped our agriculture and natural gas industry. Connell we spent time talking to executives in the fracking industry. How big of a deal is that story and those comments by President Biden in the final debate about moving away from the oil industry . How big of an impact has it had here in pennsylvania . I think it had a huge impact. It solidified that has been the former Vice President s message all along. He finally admitted it again. He said it in all the debates through the primary. Sort of tried to back away from it but it really let pennsylvanians know where the former Vice President is. Connell all of that said, the data we have, polling that we have, shows Vice President biden is little lead smaller than it was in pennsylvania, it has been a consistent lead. So i guess youre basically betting on the fact that the polls not only are wrong like they were last time but theyre more wrong . It would be a bigger upset than 2016 to be fair, wouldnt it . I think what, not necessarily betting on what were really seeing is that the pennsylvanians are really diligent, thoughtful, hardworking individuals. They can see through somebody that is just trying to tell them, pretend like theyre a pennsylvanian. The former Vice President he is likes them from scranton. He left almost seven decades ago. The president has been in pennsylvania. The president has shown that he cares about whats important to pennsylvania citizens and workers. Connell now the turnout is key. That become as cliche at this time, a day before an election everybody says that. Whats unique in 2020 i think is the type of turnout, right . Yeah. Connell more than two Million People have voted by mail in pennsylvania. The state is not use towed that. What about out in your area which is heavily republican area, that you represent . More inperson voting so is that really the key, the people showing up in person on the republican side tomorrow to make up for what may be lost through the mail . I think so. In the area that i represent, which is about 15 counties across the commonwealth, the North Central region, northeastern region, a lot of people will show up on election day and vote. It is the routine that people have. It is sort of a tradition for our area to be able to get up on election day to go and vote. Connell final thing the virus. We talked to voters around the country and particularly in pennsylvania. Two things come up, a trump supporter will say i love the economy. Precovid connie. Im for the president. Those roted for him last time, on the fence, bring up the virus and how he handled it. How dutch does that hurt the president. I dont think the virus should hurt the president. What happened in the media. First and foremost the president took Decisive Action early on by stopping travel from china even when he was called names and by the former Vice President , even. He took it more seriously than anybody else did, protecting americans. And that story doesnt get told enough. Just, and the fact the task force, the president set up the task force headed by the Vice President early on and gave us davely briefings. I thought the president handled it very well that is the story i think people really look at. That and the economy. Connell one more day. Were almost there. Congressman keller, thank you. All right. The other thing were watching is the preparation for the possibility of protests and businesses across the country, many of them, have started to board up their windows ahead of the potential for election day unrest. That is the worry. Were live on the ground in washington, d. C. , with more on that. Plus growing fears of a second wave. More than 9. 2 million coronavirus cases reported across the nation as the u. S. Conducts more than a million virus tests per day. Just last week 18 states had single day virus case records. Well bring you any breaking headlines on the virus this hour. Much more from here in battleground pennsylvania. The pulse of the people with just one day to go. Stick around. We Gave Authority to our state representatives to instruct us to shut down the stores or to give us prescription medications. Connell all right. Bracing for the potential of unrest. Businesses especially those in big cities have started to board up their windows ahead of election day so lets check in live with leland vittert. He is in washington, d. C. , for us today. Reporter connell, good afternoon to you. Not only is it businesses but the United States secret service is taking no chances, proving how different 2020 is than any year in the past, theyre putting up no scale fencing blocks away from where the white house normally allows pedestrians. Nogo zone an defensible perimeter around the white house for blocks. There is fencing around a number of businesses here in d. C. Both government buildings, also a number of other private office buildings, stores, restaurants all boarded up in d. C. It is not just in d. C. No new york to l. A. , to San Francisco theyre boarding up as well. In los angeles and Beverly Hills on rodeo drive, theyre talking about banning all traffic, pedestrian and vehicles over next couple days for fears of a repeat of looting and violence we saw back in june. Comparatively the cost of boarding up and lost business during this time pales in comparison to the cost of a fullon riot. It is cheaper to put up a piece of plywood than to lose a window that can cost thousands and thousands of dollars. Reporter talked to one of the private security firms that tracks the social media of a number about these protest groups especially here in d. C. , connell. He told me, quote, it could get very ugly, referring to the eventuality or proposition of President Trump winning and then the backlash from that. Connell all right. Leland, thank you. Hopefully obviously none of that is actually needed. Leland vittert live in washington. Were getting ready. Fox business alert came from connecticut. [booing] once he got the nomination he came to pennsylvania, they said youre going to have to do something because you have a million jobs and it is a massive part of your wealth. So he walked in and he went from we will ban fracking, to of course we can have fracking. Whats the problem . Connell all right. A focus on fracking. Certainly that is what the president is trying to do hoping to drive supporters to the polls especially in rural parts of pennsylvania. We climbed up into the mountains outside of williamsport to check in from rob boulware from seneca resources, Sandy Spencer works at appalachian construction services. Were trying to get a sense how important this industry is in this state and rob says the energy jobs here are indeed opportunities for people from all kinds of backgrounds to make a decent living. Well the best part about this industry you have a opportunity for people with High School Degrees all the way through phd. Petroleum, natural gas engineering. You have Truck Drivers. Water truck haulers. It is a variety of positions. It is more than even just our company. When you have reasonably priced energy you get the other businesses that follow shale and natural gas. You have the plastics industry. You have the supply chain. Connell right. You have all the other manufacturing potentially could relocate to an area that would only come because there is reasonably priced energy. So there is probably five, six projects within 50, 60 miles where were standing right now that will employ thousands of construction workers and also bring in additional permanent jobs as a result of this industry being here. Average starting wage in this industry is over 90,000. Which is a good, familysustaining wage. Connell sometimes that doesnt even require a College Degree or . You have Truck Drivers making 60 to 80,000 a year. That is pretty good money. Connell it is. Sandy, you come in what they call the midstream, right . That is correct. Connell what are the people in your company doing, how are they involved in what rob is talking about. Were using welders, welder engineers. As rob mentioned you have the administrative people at the office where we work but then we bring in the trades. Connell right. Pipe fitters, all of the different unions, electricians, heavy equipment operators, those types of things. Connell it all happened in relatively recently the last 10 years ago. What were the people doing around this area . What was the area like before this boom, sandy . A lot of our people were working in other areas. They may have been from here but may have been welding somewhere elsewhere there were projects. Connell okay. So it has allowed them, even our owner came back home and started this business. Connell it helped the local economy . Definitely. Connell you know what is interesting, rob, now we have the discussion about transitions, right . In this country weve done that a lot, different types of fuels and, when people look at fracking, they say, you know what . If this comes to an end there will be Something Else and socalled renewables will come up and that is where jobs will come from, what do you say to that . You hear the term natural gas is a bridge fuel. If people really looked at the entire picture, natural gas is a foundation fuel, that most of what youre trying to achieve with solar and wind cant be done without the carbon process. Connell they would still be needed . Natural gas and carbon fuels will be part of that energy mix but it is a bigger, broader picture when it talks about quality of life for individuals. First off, more than half the homes in the United States have natural gas. If they were to be converted, who pays for that appliance . Then the house has to be rewired. You look at infrastructure on the street, you realize, is that how the capability to actually bring electricity to the home . Think of it like an airplane. If the seat, if there are only 100 seats on the plane, 90 already is full, someone has to build another plane to move that up there. If you look at the construction associated with building out the grid in general, switching to solar and wind, it would mean an increase of about 700 of infrastructure work which is greater than weve done in the last 50 years as a country. So it is not a quick process. It is easy to say but it is even harder to accomplish. Connell so with all that said, sandy, are you worried about the election and impact it might have on the industry . I definitely will do my part and vote. I am watching it. I dont know if i would say worried but concerned because it can have an impact, especially with the permitting and those types of things that can have a quick effect. Connell what do you think is at stake, rob in the election . Again it is livelihoods for individuals. When you look around at small towns like this, in the Northern Tier of pennsylvania they will never see an amazon facility located here. Youre not going to see uber coming up here. I mean these are salt of the earth people who have worked in tim per, worked in stone, worked in coal and natural gas is another element. It enables them to stay. At the end of the day you have multigenerations who worked in this industry and quite frankly, if this goes away, theyre forced to go away. Connell you get a sense there, especially in that last answer how important these jobs can be in certain parts of pennsylvania which is exactly the argument the president is making. One note about his argument. When President Trump said there is 900,000 or you heard one million jobs at stake, we looked closely at the numbers. That appears to be an exaggeration. The industry employs 20 to 30,000 people directly in pennsylvania. There was one study that showed if there was a fracking ban in place it could lead to 600,000 job losses, 600,000, still short of one million. As we continue from here much more to come. Election day giveaways. Krispy kreme, Planet Fitness and doordash among a growing number of Companies Offering free food and discounts tomorrow. How about that . Humana, a more human way to healthcare. Connell so forget about pennsylvania, at least for the next few minutes. There are any number of states that could determine the 2020 election and some of the others were watching very closely include florida, wisconsin, and arizona. We have Fox Team Coverage in all of those places. Ashley webster has set up shop at the villages in florida, jeff flock is in kenosha, following one of president s events and fox newss alicia acuna in phoenix. Lets begin with ashley who we are hoping able to work in nine holes before his report started today or Something Like that, right . Look at you. Ashley 18 holes, connell. I just put the clubs away. Now were off to dinner. Back to you. No. The villages is the, is the largest Retirement Community in the United States. Lets be honest, you will not win florida if you dont win the support of the seniors and this particular Retirement Community has been a real hot spot for politics. It is solidly a republican strong hold, but the question is, can joe biden just narrow the gap a little bit here . Back in 2016 donald trump beat Hillary Clinton by a count of 68 to 29 , pretty impressive indeed but the question is, are more people going to vote for joe biden . In this community i have seen a lot more trump signs than i have biden but i did speak to people from both parties and said what are the critical issues, what is the decisive issue in your mind and take a listen to what they said. Hard to narrow down one. The economy is very important. When the market is strong, economy is strong, we have a little extra moneys to spend. Plus we all have kids, we want them to have good jobs. We want our grandkids to go to college. They feel that biden will unite the country and it is not going to be red versus blue. We are seeing big division right now. And again the virus plays a big role in their decision. Ashley what will be interesting, connell, so many people have voted early, as many as certainly on the low end, 60 , maybe as high as 75 , that the results when the polls close tomorrow for florida, we will definitely get a sense of what is happening. It could be a bellwether for the rest of the country. If donald trump can keep the kind of support, his loyal base that he did in 2016 that will be a very good sign for him. Otherwise he cant get to the white house, it doesnt look possible without winning florida. Im going to grab dinner. I will send it back to you, connell. Connell you really are a piece of work. Youre right, early results in florida could be a big story tomorrow night, unlike here in pennsylvania and some other states. But dont worry, jeff flock and i are not jealous you pulling that assignment of the swing state. Ashley webster in the villages in florida. Aye yi yi. Jeff is in kenosha today, kenosha, wisconsin. The president will be there you like me, are dealing with the wind and elements unlike ashley. How are things . Reporter its beautiful. I think ashley was playing shuffleboard. He was not playing golf by the way. By the way, whether you like trump or not, i got to say the trump rally has to be more fun than the drivein rallies. Were out in the middle of nowhere in kenosha, wisconsin. The airport is out here. Of the look at the cars. People are parked out in a Pumpkin Patch. Everybody is waving. Everybody is friendly at these rallies. Parked out here. Then they shuttle on the buses, you see people lining up now. Regardless what the polls pay say, the enthusiasm level, there is, there is the youngest trump fan. Right there. What did you say . Go trump. Reporter little quieter on tv. She was just shouting. You know, who says there are no masks being worn at trump rallies. Youre wearing a mask. Youre good. I have a seal. Reporter you are good. [inaudible]. Reporter fellow from space force clearly. At any rate, polls, he hasnt led a poll, a major poll since february. But you will remember, connell, four years ago, i think the last poll had Hillary Clinton 46, trump 40. We know what happened. If enthusiasm is any indication, we think we know how this is going to come down but, you know, who knows. What can i say . Who knows. Its a fun time. Connell you meet all kinds on the campaign trail, my friend. It is Something Else out on the campaign trail with jeff flock. There goes the old space cadet will board the bus behind you. Off they go to the rally. Thank you, jeff. In wisconsin. That is one of the places were watching very closely. Warm things up in the battle for the southwest right now. We have surrogates for both trump and Biden Campaigns taking to arizona. We saw a number over the weekend as well, trying to win over the voters of maricopa county. It is huge in arizona. Actually the second largest voting jurisdiction in the entire country. Alicia acuna is there. She has the latest from glendale. Alicia . Reporter connell, i dont have a Pumpkin Patch to show but i do have an enormous, empty, almost empty parking lot. That is by design. Because of the pandemic, Elections Officials really had to change things up here. Here in maricopa county, where you mentioned, where i am standing, used to be folks had to drop off the ballot or vote at a specific, assigned precinct. That has changed. They can drop it off at number of locations where the one im standing. This is the parking lot of state farm stadium which is where the Arizona Cardinals play. Out of the 3. 4 million ballots requested in this state, more than 2. 3 million have been returned. In maricopa county, more ballots have been returned than entire number of people who voted in 2016. As you mentioned, this is the second largest voting jurisdiction in the country next to los angeles. That means they have the second largest number of registered voters for a jurisdiction that administers elections. It is so important. And so close. Which is why the campaigns have their surrogates on the ground. Joe biden and Kamala Harris will fight for every single vote. They know we cant take anything for granted. Theyre not looking at the polls. Theyre not counting on any polling. The only poll that actually counts is the poll of the people on election day and early voting. So were encouraging everybody to get out there and vote. Things are worth fighting for, right, folks . [cheering] and thats what we got to do today and tomorrow. [cheering] we need full engagement, for the next 36 hours. Reporter cornell, something really interesting has been going on since friday that weve noticed here in watching the real clear politics average. Since friday the average has been changing hourly. Were having to constantly check it. Right now, as of right now, joe biden is leading by. 5 but, well check later. It might change. Back to you. Connell yeah. I know the Trump Campaign has been more confident about it. It has been back and forth arizona. Florida as well. They seem more confident. Well see what happens. Good to see you, alicia acuna out there in maricopa county, arizona. Another out of this world phenomenon to tell you about real quick here. Well have a current electoral projection by foxs Chris Stirewalt which would leave both candidates still short of that magic number. Seven tossup states. When you talk about the potential path to victory, with tom bevan, real clear politics. Start with President Trump. Everybody says his path or paths are very, very narrow. Seems to me his best bet he is going to win, probably includes this state, pennsylvania where i am. How do you see it for the president s best path to victory . I think thats right. First and foremost he has to take care of business in the southeast. He has to win florida, georgia, North Carolina, losing any of those, especially florida, it would make it almost impossible to lose it for him. If he loses georgia or North Carolina, he will have to replace electoral votes with one of the states in the upper midwest. If he holds on to all those. Holds on to arizona which is very close. Holds on to iowa where he is doing better and ohio. Then were back to the upper midwest. The four states that are in play, pennsylvania, michigan, wisconsin, minnesota. Pennsylvania is where both campaigns are spending a lot of time. I think it is probably trumps best chance. In wisconsin, were not seeing closing. It might be out of reach, minnesota, polls are closer in minnesota than they are in michigan right now. I think the Trump Campaign is looking at either one of those states as sort of around outside opportunity, but i think, it all comes down to pennsylvania and we wont know, because they will be counting votes for days there. Connell yeah. At least friday, right . Until which know pennsylvania. Real good follow up. That was a good point. We were in in minnesota last week, or day before. You can trade out michigan. It looks like michigan is probably off the board for the president . Maybe you do replace that with minnesota. Either minnesota or nevada. That is the only states i hear them talking about the democrats won last time around they think they have a shot at . I think wisconsin is probably off the board but michigan, Trump Campaign officials like what theyre seeing in michigan. You know, if biden is really, if the Biden Campaign really feels theyre up eight to 10 points in michigan, why was joe biden in detroit yesterday with barack obama . I think they think that state is closer than the polls suggest. They are there to see if they lock it down. In michigan there is outside chance trump could overperform the polls. Wisconsin is not where were seeing any closing. That is state donald trump over performed the polls by seven points. Certainly that could happen again if the pollsters havent adjusted for what happened in 2016. Connell yeah. Wisconsin this time around they have been really hit, especially the last few weeks by the coronavirus which seems to have hurt the president politically. What about the former Vice President . I know again everyone keeps telling us there is more paths to victory for joe biden, what are some of the things that could happen in your view that would be a surprise . We have potential map up here that youre looking at, tom, that does not include pennsylvania. So this is not a mustwin. There are other ways. Tell us about it. Well, yeah. It is the converse. If joe biden is able to win one of these southeastern states, certainly florida or georgia or North Carolina, biden has texas is fairly close. I think you know, republicans will come home to donald trump in texas by all estimates it will be much, much closer than it was four years ago. Obviously i mentioned arizona, is a state. It is the only battleground state in 2016 where donald trump did not overperform his polls. Right now biden has a lead of under one percentage point. Any one of those states that joe biden is able to take one of those off the board early will present real problems for donald trump and really boost bidens chances getting to 270 and beyond. Connell were talking about it earlier, it feels like, you never know in the last days of a campaign whats real and what, you know, when you talk to Campaign Officials what theyre feeling internals and the rest but it feels like the Trump Campaign is more confident the last few days about florida. If you had to pick one of those states biden might pick off, he is leading in a number of polls, states normally lean red, florida, arizona, you mentioned North Carolina, which state does biden have the best shot at . Do you think he will win all of them or maybe a shot at one or two and if so which ones . It is hard to stay. The one state i can tell you where the Biden Campaign feels good and Trump Campaign frustrated by inability to lock down is georgia. That is a state donald trump won by five points four years ago. There is tight race. Purdue race, ossoff race is getting a the love attention. The suburbs around atlanta are posing problems for donald trump. He will need big rural turnout in the rest of the state to pull him through. The Trump Campaign thinks they will get it. Kamala harris is down there. Biden campaign is putting effort in georgia. That is a state they think they can win. Connell the whole thing big picture, it is about turnout, it is about inperson turnout from the president s supporters tomorrow. If he makes up for mailin votes all over the country. Tom, always great to have your insights. Tom bevin. Thank you. Connell gaveling in, Justice Amy Coney barrett joining oral arguments for the very first time today after being confirmed and seated one week ago. Two hot button topics on the docket, immigration as well as the Affordable Care act. Well have much more to come. The battleground state of pennsylvania on the date of the election. Well be right back. The most important thing he has done personally affects me is what he has done with the va. Fixing the va. I can go to my doctor and the va pays for it. But when i started seeing things, i didnt know what was happening. So i kept it in. He started believing things that werent true. I knew something was wrong. But i didnt say a word. During the course of their disease around 50 of people with parkinsons may experience hallucinations or delusions. But now, doctors are prescribing nuplazid. The only fda approved medicine. Nuplazid can cause changes in heart rhythm and should not be taken if you have certain abnormal heart rhythms or take other drugs that are known to cause changes in heart rhythm. Tell your doctor about any changes in medicines youre taking. The most common side effects are swelling of the arms and legs and confusion. We spoke up and it made all the difference. Ask your parkinsons specialist about nuplazid. Connell one more battleground for you here in pennsylvania, erie county. Vice president mike pence campaigning in erie less than two weeks after President Trump, eric trump has been there twice as well. Erie county went for obama biden in 2012, but then it flipped in 2016. Grady trimble is there today, so i guess about 300 miles away from us, but it looks cold there too, which is reassuring. What are you seeing in erie county, grady . Reporter it is, connell. As you mentioned, erie county really a bellwether for pennsylvania and, in fact, the rest of the country. And thats why the candidates have spent so much time here in the weeks leading up to the election as well as their surrogates. Today jill biden here this morning, and Vice President mike pence here just a couple of hours ago before leaving for michigan. Pence making one last appeal to voters who helped carry President Trump to victory here in 2016. That was the first time a republican candidate won erie county since 1984. On the flipside, jill biden urging voters to swing back in the democrats favor. One of the messages that really worked here for trump back in 2016 was that he would bring back jobs, manufacturing jobs to places just like erie and the surrounding area. When we talked to voters on both sides of the aisle, one thing we found, connell, is that message doesnt seem to resonate quite as much as it dud back in 2016. Listen. I think weve taken a step back in the progress weve made in racial equality, class economics and a lot of other things. Were sliding in a direction i dont care for. Frackings like a big thing on the western part of pennsylvania, so i think thatll help in the west. Right now in the east, in philadelphia you see the riots and stuff going on down there, and trump says hes going to put an end to it, and i think thatll help him there as well. I think he has a good shot in pulling off pa. Reporter voters have other issues on their mind in in this time around in 2020. Early voting numbers, 66 of returned mailin ballots have been done by registered democratic voters. Only 23 of those return ballots by Republican Voters. So that gives you an indication that democrats have really embraced early mailin voting. S that is not so the case for Republican Voters. They want to vote in person on election day and, in fact, weve been talking to a lot of those Republican Voters not only here, but in other parts of the state, and thats what they told us. They plan to show up on election day, and President Trump is counting on that. Connell . Connell hes counting on a huge turnout, a huge turnoutth from those inperson voters. Pennsylvanias a battleground state, grady, as you know, but where you are and where i am, one of the few battleground counties. There are not a lot of battleground counties, in lieu luzerne county, where we are, a lot of them are hard real quick answer, if you can when you get out in some of the rural areas, is it still all trump . What do you see . Reporter yeah. We were in Butler County just a few days ago which is about an hour north of pittsburgh, and thats where the president had one of his rallies, and it was pretty much all trump. A lot of people in favor of trump in those areas as you might expect. Connell yeah. Thats what i was asking, wondering. He needs the turnout if those people, even some who didnt vote the last time around. Grady, thanks. Well see you tomorrow. As we head into the election, thanks for joining us. Ill see you from bucks county, pennsylvania, on election day, tomorrow. Lou dobbs tonight starts right now. Lou good evening, everybody. President trump today is making his final pitch to voters all across the country, holding five rallies in four states today in front of tens of thousands of supporters. He he did much the same yesterday, five more rallies yesterday. By the end of the night, the president will have held 45 Campaign Events since beating the china virus on october 10th. Some recovery, huh . Well, throughout every one of those Campaign Events, President Trumps energy, the enthusiasm of the tremendous crowds he draws, it
