That means a cooler day for everyone. Here is a live look from our tower camera. You can probably already see that cooling in your neighborhood. 66 in san jose. Low 70s in gilroy with 51 in pacifica. And from mount tamm, were looking at better visibility in the north bay. Cool, 56, santa rosa. 59, novato. 68 in concord. Already this morning, anywhere from 10 to 20 degrees cooler and a look at the golden gate bridge, where were waiting on some clearing, but brighten up here, numbers through the 60s and 70s and evenle 80s through noon time. A west wind at 13 at the golden gate bridge. If it makes the righthand turn, well let you know. 7 00 this morning, your 12hour day planner. 54 to 61. The bottle line is the coastal conditions. Mainly upper 50s at noon, 4 00, and 7 00. The middle number is the bay. 73 to 77, and really nice this evening. 83 to 87 noon inland. There are areas in the east bay that will be in the 90s. But everybody falls back into the 70s in the evening. One more nice day and then the hat is on. How about the commute this morning . Looking okay in most areas. A check of the golden gate as well. Ia just showed this, but we have the zipper trucks wrapping up now. Youll have a little more room on the southbound side and no delays out of marin county at this early hour. A quick check of drive times. Looking great here, too. Westbound 580 tracy to dublin, 27 minutes. If youre starting in antiqua, we have a big issue. Southbound 680, in the green at 15. Across the state. There is one down in Santa Barbara county this morning that has already tried over 5000 acres. We are also watching one in Contra Costa County this morning. We have been talking about the rodeo fire. We will talk more about that. It is definitely a cooler morning today. I was relieved when it felt cool today as i walked out of my house. Its nice to see the fog back this morning. Was at 70 degrees yesterday when we got up . Yesterday was another round of triple digits but today we bring the cooling relief you may be waiting for. Good morning to you. Yesterday via temperatures above 100 degrees. Here we are with a fog deck out there. We will still have mid 90s inland but the marine layer will cool us off. Were looking at different roads. I can list all the roads for you, if you would like. It is a downgrading of some of the evacuation orders. It relieves some of the folks at the Evacuation Center tonight. If they choose to return home, they are able to do that. We have gone to the Evacuation Center tonight to let the folks know if they live in the areas where the downgrading has taken effect. How many people in total secure talking about . I dont have a total number as far as the residence, as far as each occupied structure and how many people might be affected, but im looking at an area west of minors ranch road from highway 162 to oral bangor highway. What are some of the Biggest Challenges besides the hot, dry conditions . Youve just listed two of the big ones. It is hot and it is dry. We have erratic fire behavior. Fire crews are out there on the fire lines in this extreme weather with the topography that is having runs happen with the fire going uphill. There battling the fires and

I heard you use the word uphill, which is exactly what were facing right now. The wind blowing from the northwest to the southeast. And in this particular location, that will push the smoke and the flames uphill directly towards Alum Rock Park. We are looking at right now west winds sustained 15 to 17 Miles Per Hour. It is hot. Thats not going to change. It is dry. Thats not going to change. But whats happening right now and what could change is that wind, which likely will relax by about 6 or 7 tonight after the peak heating of the day but the breeze thats out there now likely will be there for the next hour.
