Toward big sur where they are just getting pummeled you see all that rain coming in there right now the core low still spinning off the coastline and that means were going to see wave after wave of Energy Rolling off coastline and pump into california right in the bay area that is going to keep things going very wet on and off throughout the night tonight. And well into tomorrow as well you see the rain though a fairly light scattered showers around much of the bay area but head further south its a different story in fact that rain really has been coming down to the moderate base limits gilroy and into the Santa Cruz Mountains, when morgan hill youre just getting pummeled right now with some very heavy rainfall. Some of the rain rates over the mountain tops there were looking at over 3 inches per hour that is a flooding type of rain that youre going to get in there you go over 3 almost 4 inches of rain per hour with that cell thats moving through there that has been a slow mover indeed

Debris and mudflows causing significant damage to homes and roads. Mud pushed up against the homes spilling over onto the street. Firefighters say at least two people were hurt and nearly 50 horses were rescued. Look at that sludge and mud and mess right there. The mudflow is from the river fire zone from last august. While the bay area escaped flooding and mudslides for now, many areas instead got snow. Jodi hernandez went to one spot that just last week was the site of a brush fire. Reporter parts of the bay area look more like the sierra today after the storm delivered a good dose of snow. Its been crazy weather lately, right .
