Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers Cross Country team has announced its 2023 schedule, as they prepare to run in their first meet on Friday in Spartanburg. The schedule features four competitions prior to the ACC Championships hosted by Florida State.  FULL SCHEDULE:  Sept. 1: Eye Opener - Spartanburg, S.C. Sept. 16: Furman Invitational 6K - Greenville, S.C.  Sept. 29: Liv @ Lou - Louisville, Ky.  Oct. 12: Crimson Classic - Tuscaloosa, Ala.  Oct. 25: ACC Championship - Tallahassee, Flal.  Nov. 10: Regional Championships - Spartanburg, S.C.  Nov. 24: NCAA Championships - Charlottesville, Va.    Head Coach Vicky Pounds enters her fifth season at the helm for the Tigers and will look to help lead both groups towards success this upcoming season.  Returning on the women’s side are sophomores, Maddie Dineen, who finished first in her opening meet of her freshman campaign in 2022, and Madison Roush, who tabbed two top 20 finishes last season. The season begins on September 2 with the Kennesaw State vs. Clemson Dual Meet held in Kennesaw, Ga. FULL SCHEDULE: Sept. 2: KSU vs. Clemson Dual Meet - Kennesaw, Ga. Tigers Compete at ACC Championships in Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind.  The men's and women's Clemson cross country teams competed this morning at the ACC Championship meet in Notre Dame, Ind. The Tigers finished 15th in the women's 6K race and 13th in the men's 8K. On the women's side, Leah Disher set the top mark for the Tigers, completing the 6K course with a time of 21:55.4, good for 74th in the field that included five top-30 ranked teams. Andrea Foster trailed behind her and finished in 22:19.0. The men were paced by Samuel Garringer, whose time of 25:42.7 was the 100th fastest in the field. Freshman Sawyer Dagan crossed the line shortly after him, finishing in 109th with a time of 26:23.5. Up next, the Tigers close out their season at the NCAA Regional Championships in Lexington, Ky. Cross Country Travels to Notre Dame for ACC Championships

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29 - ACC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 📊Live Results 📺Women's 6K - 10:10 a.m. 📺Men's 8K - 11 a.m. CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson's cross country team will compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference Cross County Championships on Friday, October 29. The Women’s Championship is set for a 10:10 a.m. start, followed by the Men’s Championship at 11 a.m. ACC Network plans live coverage of both meets, beginning with the Packer and Durham morning show originating live from the Championships site from 7-10 a.m. Clemson will look to improve upon last season's performance when the Tigers finished 11th in the men's race and 13th on the women's side. Freshmen Shine Again at Joe Piane Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind.  Clemson's cross country team's third meet of the season took place today at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. over 20 men's and women's teams competed including seven from the ACC. The Tigers finished sixth in the women's race and 18th in the men's competition. Freshman Fabiane Meyer led the Tiger women for the third consecutive meet with her time of 17:45.9, good for 17th in the competition of 171 participants. Andrea Foster also found herself near the top of the group with a time of 18:10.4, the 29th fastest of the group. Sawyer Dagan returned to the top of the Clemson leaderboard. His five mile time of 25:44.7 was 47th fastest in the competition. He was trailed by Samuel Garringer who ran a 26:10.8 to finish 66th.
