Ive had isolated areas of three to five inch amounts. San francisco, oakland should be around 10 00 to 2 00. Maybe a little later. East bay, 2 00 to 4 00. I cannot keep up on the rainfall rates. 3. 21. St. Helena over an inch of rain. Occidental over an inch. So its in the north bay. Eventually it will work its way south. When you see yellyand green on the returns, that means really heavy rain. Reports of three to five inches of rain. Everybody will be getting in on rain and wind. Wind advisories. There are advisories for the burn areas. And in the mountains it is wind and snow. Snow will be later on. Right now its
Converted to a Flash Flood Warning in the burn areas until 4 00 a. M. Friday. We have this a urban and small stream flood advisory. I think that could be extended to include other parts of the bay area or expand. Especially after 4 00. Keep an eye on that. Here is the coverage up in the north bay showing you moderate to heavy rainfall. You can pick it out for santa rosa and glenn helen. We will move the mapsard. Towards napa, heavy rain. Their most recent observation, the yellows correspond to impressive rain downpours. Scattered around the bay, marin county, you see the coverage there and the Santa Cruz Mountains. We talked about that Flash Flood Watch in place that could go into a Flash Flood Warning. This is fueled by the circulation off shore. That will be the key factor for the forecast today. A new spring storm is on its way, we are tracking the next round of rain that will soak the morning and evening commute. This storm is packing a punch. Wind gusts could climb to 40 miles an hour. We are tracking the storm. This storm is going to make a mess of your morning commute. Take a look at the live doppler 7, we are just Getting Started with the moisture out ahead of the system. Thats why we are seeing light showers in the north bay. And sea ranch and we take you in to street level radar. And acrossing both the san matteo and dunbarto bridges, we are seeing light returns. As we look at the wider picture, this storm is bringing quite a bit of moisture and its going to head in on the next ten to 12 hours. And its a moderate strengthed storm. Doppler 7. You see yellows and oranges north of vallejo heading up toward vacaville. You see it on highway 4 from concord, over as you head toward hercules and through south San Francisco. Heading up 101 and 280 into San Francisco. Well cross the bay bridge in 15 minutes. Look for ponding on the roadways there. You see are you see the system cranking up for out commute. Light to moderate rain noon to 4 00 and becoming showers at 7 00. Looking at the roads, we have a report of a stalled vehicle westbound 80 on the bay bridge here just past treasure island. Ly in lane 5. The far right lane. Thats not a major issue at the moment. You see lots of green for the bay bridge commute. The toll plaza coming down more steada. Sprinkles increasing.
