The storm system is not holding as much rainfall as the past three storms we have seen in seven days. So, lets get a look now. The storm is just off to the north. Center of low pressure will drop down to continue the chance of light to moderate rain. We are so water logged, the little rainfall is coming up in the road ways and making it dangerous tonight. Currently we are seeing the most consistent activity, more moderate in nature, heading toward millvalley. We talked about the ground being saturated, and some epic storm totals over eight days. We have seen nearly six inches and over 31 2 in San Francisco. San jose, nearly 21 2, and close to 6 inches in morganhill, the big thing all of you want answered is when exactly is it going to dry out . The drought. Major flooding from sonoma and marin county. The recent storms have created a lot of concern and catastrophe here in the bay area. The 100foot tall eucalyptus tree slammed down. But the storm has also reduced worries about our water supply. Last summer you could see the bottom of this reservoir. Today its nearly full. Lexington reservoir is above capacity and spilling over. So are coyote and u vis. Our rez voice are 162 of normal for this time of the year. Reporter weve gotten so much rain we have a new problem. Were releasing water from all of the reservoirs to make room for flood protection. Reporter our ground water supply is up significantly. And thats not all. Our statewide reservoirs are all looking very good overall and snow pack is just looking outstanding. Reporter overall the gray days of january have left us with a much brighter water future. Up. At least compared to yesterday and tomorrow. Today isnt to bad. Take a look at some of the rainfall totals. Kempfield over four inches. These are two day totals. Santa rosa. Oakland 1. 39 and san jose not as much in the south bay. As you can see right now on the radar we still have coverage up there. The minute focus is up in the north bay. You can see especially here we go for marin but up toward santa rosa, sonoma we still have Rain Coverage to talk about. Looks like moderate to borderline heavy and then still scattered rain for San Francisco, extending across at least approaching oakland and haywood. There you can see across parts of the south bay as well. Temperatures right now pretty mild out there in the up ears to the 60s. Here is what happens. Still a pocket possibility of rain showers. We had significant rainfall this morning and this afternoon. We saw up to five inches in the coastal hills, almost six inches in ben lomond. In the San Lorenzo River there was or a Flood Warning was dropped. Very significant rainfall in a short amount of time a very powerful storm. We saw numerous watches and warnings go up today. A lot of the warnings have gone down, but there are still Flood Warnings out there. Lets take a look at whats left of the bay area. This area right here, this is going to be the creek. And that warning will go down at 10 15. Now the Flood Warning over here in Alameda Creek that will go away at 10 15 up here in San Lorenzo River. That has been dropped. Now this is the one we are watching out here in this area. This is a levy breach and this is right off of the san joaquin river. It uncovers a huge area. But this whole area in here basically is being allowed to take on a lot of water. The levy has been breached. Theres a Flood Warning that will stay in effect i
