is understandably fired many people of who care about abortion rights, who believe in abortion rights. there is also the fact that lots of people view the republican party right now as an existential threat to american democracy, a fact that has been well illustrated in the january 6th committee hearings. it s also not helpful that the republican party has nominated a truly awful candidates this year. and it s because of all that, the political report, which is one of the premier political just moving the house project for the midterms from a gop again of between 20 and 35 seats to ten and they are protecting republicans will gain fewer seats, ratcheting back the expectations of the magnitude of the problem when. now look, all those trying to model future which is unwritten, lord knows what could happen i mean, russia invaded ukraine in february and spent the whole world on a different course. it s anyone s guess what s can happen between now and election day. but one lesson we

missing. and apparently those messages are relevant and the fact those are among the messages that are gone, it raises all kinds of red. flags the select committee, every time they learn something new, the alarms go off. did not learn thing the saying, maybe there s an explanation. they re saying, this is crazy. they subpoenaed the agency and its outgoing director, jamie murray. and i think some of his messages might be missing, develop to figure out. it s one of the reason the select committee is not ready to close up shop after these hearings. they want to keep pursuing this. yes, and paul. and someone who work for the department of justice and has thought about how sort of criminal law functions at the highest levels, the criminal investigation is significant. and we ve now heard various agents which is their constitutional right. what is the significance of that? so where are the missing
the capital, the violent attempt to block the peaceful transfer of power, and overturn american democracy was horrible, was disgrace, and that donald trump was the one who made it happen and could have stopped it, but chose not to. that is the plain and simple truth, which at least for a little while, really was evident to just about everyone. i mean, not everyone it s a big country, but just about everything everyone. everyone on capitol almost everyone in republican politics. republican leadership down to regular members. trump s own family, fox news hosts all agreed on this basic, obvious, irrefutable, indefensible unavoidable truth. it was an attack on our country, and it was horrible. and the committee did an excellent job of reminding everyone of that simple brute fact last night. the president, as we all saw, fired this crowd up. tens of thousands, maybe
because you keep seeing it like a dog with one of those invisible colors, the invisible fence, they get to the privilege part and then they stop he gets to what the president said in a stop stocking. i don t know. my reading, amateur, people i ve talked to, there is not a lot there for the privilege claim he is making. what do you think of that? first of all, there is no privilege claim to begin with, because the privilege belongs to the united states, okay? the privilege belongs to you and i, as the taxpayer. and the privilege would be certainly, i can t imagine it s any broader than the executive privilege. and the d. c. circuit and the u.s. supreme court have basically said in the context of this investigation, the interest of the public and learning this information, outweighs any possible executive privilege, and that s particularly in the context of the fact that he was not exercising the duties of his office.
