Now Scientists Say theres new hope after a team from the Royal Botanic Gardens kew identified the genes that provide resistance to ash dieback. One of the classic symptoms of ash dieback is a darkened lesion on the bark of the tree, and we can see this long diamond shaped lesion where the fungus has grown into the tree.
