Calls have been made to evict those responsible for a petrol bomb attack in a Wexford housing estate last month. The attack, which also saw machetes and blades brandished during a late-night stand-off, occurred in Castle Court estate in the village of Taghmon and is believed to be a result of an ongoing feud in the village.

Having sent a number of motions and requested countless meetings, the members of the Rosslare Municipal District (RMD) are sending a delegation to Dublin to get answers on how to tackle south Wexford’s chronic coastal erosion problems. In addition to marching upon the halls of Dáil Éireann, the councillors confirmed they will also be visiting the Office of Public Works (OPW) to discuss an issue which was exacerbated during recent flooding events in Co Wexford.
