Birmingham police on Monday announced the arrest of 28-year-old Larry Denzel Rollins. He is charged with murder in the May 2 shooting death of Eric Tyler Sledge Jr., a 27-year-old father. The killing happened about 12:30 a.m. that Sunday in the Southside entertainment district. Officers responded to the 1100 block of 20th Street South after receiving reports of a shooting.
