Updated: 9:33 PM EDT Jul 9, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff The Winston-Salem Police Department confirms a woman is in critical condition following a crash Friday afternoon.It happened around 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of Coliseum Dr. and Reynolda Rd.Officers said traffic lights for the northbound lanes of travel were flashing yellow, and the lights for the westbound traffic were flashing red.Investigators said the driver of a Honda Civic failed to stop for the flashing red light and collided with a Ford Club Wagon Van in the intersection.The driver of the Honda Civic, a 39-year-old woman from Rural Hall, suffered life threatening injuries. She had to be extricated from the vehicle.The van belonged to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The driver of the van, a 70-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital for a minor arm injury.
