A young Swindon dancer has bagged her dream job as she joins Revolution Performing Arts to run street dance classes. Beth Cooper, 24, lives in Rodbourne with her boyfriend Jamie and their dog, Rou. She was just four years old when she joined a ballet class and six when she found her niche in Irish dancing. Coming from a large Irish family, she went to classes with her cousin and went on to become a south west champion. When she won a performing arts scholarship in Wiltshire, she learned different styles of dance, contemporary, hip hop, jazz and tap as well as having drama and singing lessons.
Robert Buckland The Easter Bank Holiday began with good news for Swindon as it was announced that our town will receive an additional £133,688 from the government as part of the second round of the Culture Recovery Fund, designed to help local organisations through this difficult Covid period. This brings the total amount of funding received so far in Swindon from the fund to £460,688 Our cultural, creative and heritage sectors have been some of the hardest hit by Covid-19 and I was pleased in July last year when the Government announced an unprecedented £1.57 billion support package to see them through the crisis.
