Fairfax County Public Schools: All Fairfax County Public Schools are closed on May 31.
Animal shelter: Services are available by appointment. Incidents of injured wildlife, stray pets, or other animal concerns should be directed to Animal Protection Police at 703-691-2131.
Community centers: Fairfax County community centers are open by reservation.
Courts: Fairfax County Circuit Court, General District Court, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed on May 31.
Department of Motor Vehicles: On May 31, all Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices will be closed. Many DMV services are available online.

As Christmas approaches this week, families are tasked with modifying holiday plans to limit the chances of spreading the virus that causes COVID-19 illness. One thing that remains the same is the closure or modification of many services in Kingstowne for the holiday.
Some services may be closed for Christmas Eve (Thursday, Dec. 24) and Christmas Day (Friday, Dec. 25). Here are the openings and closings to know for both days.
