Bill henley has the latest on this storm. Bill . This is just updated information. The storm is continuing to weaken as expected, now with winds of 50 miles an hour. Its still a Tropical Storm, but its now moving faster, starting to accelerate to the northeast, at 18 miles an hour. At last report, it had 14mileanhour winds. Acceleration will take it into South Carolina by later today. Thats the center of the storm, which is over southeastern georgia. The heavy rain has already moved in advance of the storm system, into South Carolina. You can see some pretty good downpours along coastal North Carolina, as well. This will accelerate, past South Carolina. In fact, this evening at 8 00, with 50mileanhour winds, it will be just past charleston, South Carolina. Last few days we had watches and advisories because of how much rain weve seen. Delaware which was expected saw the worst of it, and this morning on radar and satellite, we have isolated spotty showers in washington, d. C. And maryland and central to western portions of pennsylvania. Then clouds hanging over our viewing zone. And theres the next round of heavy rain, showers, thunderstorms, may clip parts of the shore. Not there yet. What we are looking at currently is just clouds and temperatures that are only in the 50s with a breeze. More on temperatures in a second.
