parker have one of the great metaphors to describe the sort of reality tv president against the reality tv star who was a highly paid white house chief of staff. you guys wrote in the washington post, now like in the jurassic park film series in which the dinosaur of turn on the scientists who created them. omarosa manigault newman has been a protege of donald trump s dating back to the apprentice, she was the villain on that show. she learned a lot of trump s tricks along the way. she learned how to manipulate the media, how to create drama and expenssuspense, and develop magnetic charisma that kept viewers watching that show.
special assistant making the maximum amount of money in the white house, no business being here. the the president of the united states hired her. he s calling her wacky, going on and on how she was fired multiple times but he hired her multiple times. what does that say about him, about only the best people? she is part of a litany of unqualified people who were disasters working for the american people brought in by this president that did not know what they were doing. in this instance here i m not surprised you bring in a snake you are going to get bit. that s exactly what happened here. it s unfortunate that we are in this mess. but that s what happens when you bring a reality tv president in. he is going to bring in reality tv crash trash with him, too. to make it messier, jack, you know the white house, the situation room. if people aren t as familiar it is where the famous shot is taken of president obama and his team as they are watching the so samma bin laden raid go down.

of the united states to lie everyday. what do you make of that? you know he does not need to be prep to lped to lie. this is a guy that got a real problem of telling the truth no matter who s telling him. we know he tells untruth multiple times every time everyday but did you have the sense that there were people potentially behind the scenes who were actually crafting lies or do you believe it at all? let me put it this way, i don t believe anything that donald trump tells me. i don t believe anything that omarosa tells me. when they re in a war of words, how are any of us to know the truth? this is reality tv star meets reality tv president and reality tv drama and sues. we ll make a mistake if we try to parse all of this when neither side of this dispute is
able to take a phone or another recording device in with her. and it s an incredible lapse, frankly, of security in this white house that she was in the situation room with a phone at all, whether it was recording or not. so, a lot of different layers here to peel back. eli stokols, what is your sort of view on this as somebody who has covered the interactions of this white house? are you surprised by john kelly s conductor by the fact that this phone was in the situation room? or is it actually just how business is done? no, i mean, the omarosa episode of this presidency is the least surprising one that we ve seen yet, right? this is a reality tv president, we have a reality tv contestant. they put her in the white house. she was fired in season one. like, what do you think is going to happen? the fact is there has never been any process or protocol in this west wing. that s part of it. and so in a normal administration it would be shocking that someone like omarosa would be in th
