BRANDON VALLEY, S.D. – Renner scored 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and defeated Rapid City Post 22 6-4 at the South Dakota State Legion Baseball Tournament.
The game was tied at 4 when Renner scored the winning runs.
Harrison Good had 2 hits and Ryker Henne added an R.B.I. to help lead Post 22.
Post 22 will play Monday evening, where, if they lose, they will be eliminated.
In other scores Sunday, Sioux Falls Post 15 East defeated Brandon 4-3. The loss eliminates Brandon.
Pierre Post 8 defeated Harrisburg 8-0, eliminating the Tigers.

PIERRE – Rapid City Post 22 Expos jumped out to an early lead and routed the Post 8 Junior team Saturday 13-4 in a winner’s bracket game of the Junior Class A Legion State Tournament at Hyde Stadium.
Post 8 was tied 2-2 after two innings, but Post 22 scored three in the third inning and four in the fourth.
Spencer Easland had two hits and an RBI for the Eights. Brecken Krueger and Cade Kaiser also drove in runs. Deegan Houska had two hits.
Post 8 will play Aberdeen Sunday at noon and must win to play again later Sunday.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 opened up the state legion baseball tournament with a 4-3 win over Sioux Falls Post 15 West.
The Hardhats opened the game, scoring a run in the top of the first.
Post 15 answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the first.
Post 22 then scored a run in the fifth and one in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead before Post 15 tied it up in the bottom of the sixth.
Post 22 then scored the winning run in the top of the seventh.

PIERRE – A wild pitch by Sioux Falls West’s Jacob Mongar scored Cade Kaiser with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday as the Post 8 Juniors won 4-3 in the first round of the Junior Class A Legion State Tournament at Hyde Stadium.
Kaiser walked to begin the winning rally, stole second, then scored all the way from second on the wild pitch. Earlier, Kaiser had an RBI single. Matt Brewer also drew a bases-loaded walk to drive in a run.
Jackson Edman pitched a perfect seventh inning for the win. Jett Zabel worked the first six innings, allowing three runs, three hits, six strikeouts and four walks.
