The scheme shall be implemented in J&K by the Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), department of Science & Technology.
The participants were sensitized about the benefits of the scheme in reducing the production cost of the crops and facilitating increase in the income of farmers.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner said, “Agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy and irrigation is the backbone of Agriculture.” “Scheme like PM-KUSUM has been launched solely with the aim to raise the income the farmers and they should come forward to avail the benefits of such schemes”, the Deputy Commissioner added. The Deputy Commissioner asked the public representatives to identify the eligible beneficiaries in their respective jurisdictions so that they can be provided necessary benefits under the scheme. .

DDC reviews RDD functioning Call for timely completion of works

RAJOURI, July 13: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today took a comprehensive review of the performance of the Rural Development Department here in a meeting of the concerned officers held here today.
Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; Sushil Khajuria; ACP, Abdul Rashid; X-En REW, Noor Ali and BDOs attended the meeting.
A discussion on various points including initiation of works projected during ‘Back to Village’ programme and water conservation-related works, progress regarding the works in the last financial year, Geo-tagging of assets, registration of youth under youth club, FTOs generation etc was held threadbare in the meeting.

RAJOURI : Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative union Ltd in collaboration with District Administration Rajouri today celebrated the International Day of Cooperatives with the theme, “Rebuild Better Together.”
The main event was held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bungalow which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan.
GD Bakshi, General Secretary Cooperative union Jammu and Member NCDC Delhi said, the International Day of Cooperatives has been observed by cooperatives globally since 1923 and was formally declared by the United Nations General Assembly on the centennial of the ICA in 1995. It is observed yearly on the first Saturday of July.
