This weather system will drift slowly westward along with the extended trough, likely to run across South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. An in situ cyclonic circulation is likely to form over South Telangana and adjoining parts of Rayalaseema and Karnataka.
Rain is expected over many parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Vidarbha on October 16. By October 17, we expect rain activities to cover almost entire Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, parts of Punjab, Haryana, and Eastern parts of Rajasthan.
The states that are likely to get some good rainfall activities include Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The system will also impact Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana and Uttarakhand indirectly resulting in rains of varied intensity.
