Thus, widespread rains are expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh, even touching parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. These rains will begin on January 21, peaking on Jan 22 and then some rains on January 23 as well.
After the passage of Western disturbance ongoing rain activities over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and western parts of Madhya Pradesh will stop. Cloudy to overcast skies will give way to clear or partly cloudy Sky.
As the rain activities will start subsiding due to cold winds from snow clad mountains of Western Himalayas oval sweep across Northwest India including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and Delhi and NCR. Minimum temperatures will start reducing. There may be a fall of 5-6 degree over these states during next 2-3 days.
As far as the forecast is concerned, good rains are expected over North India including Punjab, Haryana today, tomorrow and on January 9. Moreover, tomorrow and day after tomorrow are penultimate days with relief only expected around January 10.
The left overs like Shimla, Dalhousie, Dharamsala, Mandi, Nainital and Mussorie have been lashed with torrent rain. State of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi have partially made up for the deficient rains in December 2021.
