She joined a coalition of other attorneys general on Tuesday.
The suit is to stop an effort by the Trump Administration that would allow employers to withhold tips from their employees.
The coalition argues that restaurants are already struggling through the pandemic and it’s up to the federal government to provide relief not the workers.

The Attorney General’s Office says they’ve arrested a Charlotte man accused of making a bomb threat at the Michigan Capitol building.
Around 6:40 Thursday morning capitol security received a call from a man saying a bomb was at the Capitol building.
Security told legislators, staff, and employees to stay away as the swept the building, which was later deemed safe.
The breach on the capitol in Lansing in April, in addition to Thursday’s threats and the riots in Washington has some making a renewed call for added security inside the capitol.

Two Canadian men played a game of chess in a way that few could enjoy.
Ron Batuigas and Nick McNaught of Ontario cut some holes in the ice of their local lake, set up a chess board, and jumped in.
When they decided to spend more than five minutes in the icy water, they chose chess to help get their minds off the cold.
We didn’t learn who won the game but the water was warmer than the air.
Nick said the air was -4 degrees Fahrenheit when they made the plunge.

The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office has a warning about stolen vehicles.
The sheriff says they saw a drastic increase in stolen cars over the last few months from both rural and more populated areas.
Most have been recovered, but police believe people are using the cars to commit other crimes like retail fraud and breaking and entering.
The sheriff wants to remind residents to always lock their cars, whether they are in parking lots or driveways, saying its the best deterrent.
Michigan Senate Passes $465 Million COVID-19 Relief Package

The Michigan State Senate passed a $465 million COVID-19 relief bill of their own.
It includes $63 million in grants to small businesses, $45 million for restaurant workers who could get up to $1,600 grants, and the bill would extend 26 weeks of unemployment into 2021.
Senate Majority Leaer Mike Shirkey commented, “Recently, our governor said the state was “too strapped” to help the thousands of Michiganders harmed by her shutdowns. We disagreed. Tonight we passed assistance for those out of work through no fault of their own and for the hospitals and nursing homes on the front lines.”
