Vegetation fire around 2 00 this afternoon and grew. Spreading out over hilly terrain as the winds picked up. The mandatory evacuations followed. At the time the folks leaving homes thought it looked dire. Here is what they had to say. It looked a lot closer than i think it was. It was a little hard to tell. But definitely very scarey. To hear the helicopters, and in two minutes i have seen like six fire trucks coming from all over, not just dublin but you can see them but basically smoke.
