pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate. it s so surreal, paul butler, to go from reporting on the former chairman of his campaign to reporting on the former the forl security adviser for the united states of america under donald trump as cooperating witnesses in the mueller probe into russian collusion. yeah, so part of this, again, we ve always thought of this as a pyramid prosecution. you start at the bottom and go up. it s always been interesting that the people on the bottom are pretty high ranked like michael flynn and like the former chairman of the campaign. but, look, all this means is that michael flynn has done what he was supposed to do for special counsel mueller. mueller has preserved that testimony in the grand jury and now he kind of puts it on ice. michael flynn was a convicted liar. he was never going to be a witness in a criminal case. and mueller still has a whole lot to do. he has to debrief and preserve
we can be sure that at some point, miss hicks, will receive the subpoena to the grand jury. she pertinespent two days of mueller s investigation already. definitely, and the scary thing for donald trump, this is a pyramid prosecution, mueller is working his way to the top. if we are looking at people like hope hicks and jared kushner, that s the next level. can you bring this back to the question you and i talked about all the time where are the bleeping republican? the republicans are sticking with the republican base. right now the president has 85% approval within the party. why is it so high? well, it is high because of fox news feeds them a bill of good everyday. if you ever watch hannity, i tune in once a week. it is like a work out, right?

that s happened. congressional committees, special council. and what evidence is there of collusion other than the steele dossier, which has been discredited. and so i think it s one thing to say that there were russian nationals or even russian government involved. although i would note, none of the hacking, which i thought was the most serious, none of that was alleged in the indictment and not something that was dealt with. that s what you have and i just think so much of this has been based off wishful thinking by the press and the democrats and the steele dossier rather than hard facts. what about the republicans who are leading all of these investigations and certainly believe that there was russian meddling? let me tell you something. i m a former prosecutor. prosecutions don t start at the top and go down. they start at the bottom. it s called a pyramid prosecution. you get to the top and cut the top off. you cut the head off.
