Injured but Berkeley Police say all opened greg has more on how it unfolds. Berkeley police described this as a dangerous incident and in which the officer was fighting for his life. Ironically was not far from the campus football stadium. Sunday morning around 1 00 a. M. , Berkeley Police say and officer was driving Near University drive and was flagged down by a young man standing in the media. They chatted briefly. The officers told him that he could not drive, of course. The officer said leaving, he tried to forcibly get in the car, but the officer stepped out and had him sit down. He stood up again and ended up attacking the officer, which led to a struggle. He tried to take the officers gun not once, but twice. 6foot three, doing 25 pounds, he hit the officer and managed to get inside the patrol car and then back up.
