The former Punjab CM said Trudeau has unfortunately walked into a trap owing to vote bank politics and put at stake the diplomatic relationship between India and Canada. "It was highly irresponsible for the prime minister of a country to make a statement without any evidence only because he was playing to the vote bank gallery," said Singh in a statement.
Arvind Kejriwal said previous governments used to see industrialists with an eye of suspicion and always think about using them, but the present government considers them "as our partners".
Addressing the gathering during ‘Kisan Mela’ organised at the Punjab Agricultural University, the CM said, “This decision will do considerable damage to the economic situation of the farmers as well as the traders.”
During the party, the Governor told the media that invitations for the 'At Home' ceremony were extended to various dignitaries, including the Chief Minister of Punjab.
