NCRTC spokesperson Puneet Vats told IANS that before the Rapid Rail trial run is conducted, separate checks are done for OHE wire, track, telecom, signalling, rolling stock etc.
India's first high-speed train project, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), being implemented by The National Capital Region transport corporation (NCRTC) brought out, for the first time, the RRTS train to test the trial run for the over-head equipment (OHE).
Ghaziabad: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is likely to start laying tracks on the Sahibabad-Duhai stretch for the Regional Rapid Rail Transit System by next week. The 17km-stretch is a priority section and has a deadline of 2023.
“The railway tracks have reached the construction site. An 8km-long viaduct on the priority section is ready and the work to lay the tracks is expected to start by next week,” said Puneet Vats, chief public relations officer, NCRTC.
The corporation is also preparing a draft for a value capture funding model along the 82km-long RRTS corridor. Officials said it is likely to be ready in about 20 days and after that, it will be sent to the state cabinet for approval.

New Delhi, April 18 : Work on the 82 km-long Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) from Delhi s Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut in Uttar Pradesh is in full swing and the viaduct of the around 17 km corridor has been completed.
The RRTS, India s first of its kind project undertaken by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), is being developed to provide high speed and sustainable mobility solutions in the national Capital Region (NCR).
