Jon Wayne Boteilho as its Firefighter of the Year for 2022. The two men were honored during a ceremony March 25 in Hilo.
Spenser Jordon Feary of Hilo was charged with first-degree theft and first-degree unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, according to the Hawai‘i County prosecutor’s office. First-degree theft is a Class B felony carrying a maximum penalty of 10 years is prison.
