in the faulkner focus. it is nasty. the battle for the gavel. the first time as i mentioned in a century the vote needed more than a single ballot. resistance to republican leader kevin mccarthy. it got hotter yesterday in the final rounds of votes. he started losing support. now 20 mccarthy defectors going into the second day. they are backing ohio representative-elect they re all elect because they can t be sworn in because they haven t chosen a speaker those 20 like jim jordan for the job. jordan supports mccarthy. how will that work out? he said he is not interested in being the speaker position. leading the charge for jim jordan and against kevin mccarthy florida congressman-elect matt gaetz. many of his colleagues not happy. south carolina republican nancy mace tweeted gaetz full ego was on display and he will screw around and get another pelosi elected to the spot, her words. former speaker newt gingrich said the hold juts are hurting themselves. i think a numb
