And i guess id like to start off by talking about our process and where we are in the process and then we will go into the substance of this presentation. So, the department of aging and Adult Services is of course part of the Human Services agency. And the Human Services agency has within it a sort of a large support staff area. It does a number of things, but one of the things we do is we develop the budget for the agency, of course, we do that in cooperation with Shireen Mcspadden and Deputy Directors like cindy and joe, and Program Directors throughout the agency. And we do it with a budget staff and emily gibb and tiffany wong are two of the members who have worked on the daa is budget this year. We reach out to the Program Offices throughout the agency to ask them to identify areas of new need, changing regulation, changing law. Changes in the patterns of consumption of services. Police say a car traveling eastbound slammed into a car heading westbound. Authorities say one driver died the other is in the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. A frightening wake up call as a 7. 9 earthquake hits off the coast of alaska. That triggered a tsunami warning down the coast. The earthquake was centered 170 miles off of alaskas kodiak island. The earthquake did trigger a tsunami watch all the way down to San Francisco. The department of tsunami management asked people in lowlying areas to prepare to evacuate. That the equivalent accommodation but triggered Historic Preservation review and Historic Preservation because it changed the angle of the door wouldnt approve that so gean some recommendations were going out and going into doing the sidewalk encroachments and of course that provided challenges for that business to be dealing with our bureau of street use and mapping. So just kind of a quick look is that from changing from the angled door i dont know if most people can see it and i cant point to it but it changed to from the corner of the building to parallel so there would be a power door and the landing is on the inside so you could do the power door and go up and landing on the inside.
