Another AMU faculty dies
As many as 17 of its faculties and a number of employees have so far died because of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

Aligarh: Mohammad Ayyub, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Z H College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) passed away in Aligarh, the university said in a statement.
The university did not reveal the cause of his death. However,
as per the earlier update from the varsity, as many as 17 of its faculties and a number of employees have so far died because of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui (Principal, JNMC) said: Under Prof Shoaib Zaheer’s guidance, students thrived and young teachers made great educational and professional strides. He will be remembered for advocating the finest healthcare for all and for exemplary services at the JNMC.
Prof Shoaib Zaheer published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored an academic book, wrote book chapters, and edited many books. He was appointed as a lecturer at JNMC in 1992 and was eventually promoted to the posts of Associate Professor and Professor respectively.
