SAN ANTONIO, TX .- The McNay Art Museum’s highly-anticipated annual Print Fair is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an all-new virtual format. This year’s event will be held May 1–2 on the McNay’s website at www.mcnayart.org/print-fair. Access is free and open to the public. “We’ve pivoted to a virtual Print Fair experience out of an abundance of caution and care for our patrons, staff, and dealers from around the country,” said Lyle W. Williams, McNay Curator of Prints and Drawings, Curator of Modern Art. “This year’s event may be the biggest one yet because we really are opening the experience up to the world, while still bringing those conversations with dealers and artists to attendees through a video format.”

Carlson Anne Nickoloff, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio On the first floor of Cleveland’s ArtCraft building, all the tools of an artist cans of paint, jars of used brushes, canvases and sketchpads are placed on the floor and tables in a long studio. Wooden shelves hold up decades’ worth of work: paintings, sketches, drawings and photographs. That work was left behind when John W. Carlson suddenly died on Dec. 20, 2020, due to an abdominal aneurysm. He was 66. The art in Carlson’s studio reflects the Cleveland artist’s whole life in images of joy, laughter, grief and pain.

Council unhappy about hall plans

The days of popping in to council offices could be over. That is according to Maryport Mayor Peter Kendall, who said Allerdale council proposals to alter the Maryport town hall will leave people having to stand on the street or make an appointment to report a broken street light or culvert. Allerdale submitted the proposal for comment at a town council meeting night. The changes, officers said, were primarily to ensure staff safety. It s also understood that the police and Credit Union would both look at using office space in the building. But town councillors are concerned that, as the prime users of the building, their needs are being overlooked.

The game takes you on a journey through an Ancient Egyptian tomb in which you will come across curses and artefacts of fortune as you endeavour to reach the afterlife.
