The Commission of Inquiry into State Capture has revealed that late Minister in Presidency Jackson Mthembu was due to appear before the commission in the coming weeks.
“Mr Mthembu publicly supported the commission, cooperated with it, and was due to testify before the commission in the next few weeks with regard to the time when he was the chief whip of the ANC in Parliament,” the commission said in statement.

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA) said it had learnt with great shock and sadness of the passing Dr Rudolf Mononyane, who tried to save Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu s life.
He had delayed his flight after being called to assist Mthembu, who later died of COVID-19-related complications.
Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu, who died on Thursday, has been described as a hardworking, principled leader who loved the country and often worked until late.

The late Minister in the Presidency
Jackson Mthembu will be honoured with an official funeral category 1 at his home in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, on Sunday, the Presidency has announced.
Mthembu passed away on Thursday from Covid-19 related complications.
