Monday night, members of the Spring Hill Planning Commission discussed a number of newly proposed development projects, among them being two new industrial buildings and more than 130 homes.
Submitted by the Nashville-based engineering firm Barge Cauthen Engineers, the two industrial buildings are proposed to be constructed on the southeast corner of Beechcroft Road and Cleburne Road in western Spring Hill.
Dubbed Spring Hill Industrial Park, the project first got underway last summer after city leaders approved a site plan for a 176,400 square-foot industrial building on the same site. With that building now nearing completion, two more industrial buildings are now being proposed; one at 132,889 square feet, and the other at 99,110 square feet.

At least two new projects could be added to the Spring Hill Neighborhood Sidewalk and Greenway Plan as part of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen s upcoming 2021-2022 fiscal budget.
Spring Hill Senior Project Manager Missy Stahl presented the proposed projects on Monday during BOMA s non-voting work session. The projects include pathways to be installed at the Winter Park and Spring Meadow subdivisions, which would cost approximately $158,900.
The projects are also staff-identified items, meaning the funding wouldn t require any additional revenue spending from the neighborhoods Home Owners Association. Although the final numbers slightly exceed the city s $150,000 sidewalk project budget, Stahl said the city s Transportation Advisory Committee recommends it be increased to cover the full $158,900 amount.
