App State women’s basketball senior guard Pre Stanley (Rockledge, Fla./Rockledge) was named to the All-Sun Belt Tournament team.
Stanley is named to the all-tournament team for the second time in the last three seasons following a stellar run to the semifinals.
App State picked up wins over ULM and a quarterfinal victory against UTA. The Rockledge, Fla., native led the team in scoring with an average of 20 points over three games. She also grabbed seven rebounds per game and three assists, while she finished fourth in scoring in the tournament.
The Apps’ leading scorer dropped back-to-back 20-point performances, highlighted by an impressive outing of 29 points and 14 rebounds in the narrow loss to No. 1 seed Troy. Stanley tied a career-high in points and pulled down a personal best in rebounds for her first-career double-double.

CONWAY, S.C. â Junior forward Aja Blount scored a season-high 30 points for Coastal Carolina, but her standout effort wasnât enough as Appalachian State pulled away in the second half for a 72-58 win in a Sun Belt Conference womenâs basketball game Wednesday night at the HTC Center. Appalachian State was led by junior guard Brooke Bigott, who had a career-high 23 points, including five three-pointers in the third quarter alone as the Mountaineers took control.
