CONWAY, S.C. â The Coastal Carolina offense tallied 11 two-out RBIs as the Chanticleersâ bats exploded for 14 runs on 14 hits in a 14-9 midweek win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Tuesday night at Springs Brooks Stadium.
The win pushes the Chants to 23-23 overall and 5-2 in midweek contests on the season, while the loss drops Wake Forest to 17-27 on the year. Coastal swept the two-game regular-season series with the Demon Deacons and have now won seven-straight in the series.

MOBILE, Ala. - On Friday, senior David Ejumeta earned the Chanticleerâs track and field team their first Sun Belt Championship since the 2019 season on Friday during day two of the 2021 Sun Belt Track and Field Championships at the Jaguar Track.
MEN (7 of 10 - 14 points)
Ejumeta gave the Chanticleers ten team points with a school record 7.97 meters (0.0) and tied the Sun Belt Championship record by Rolf Pienaar of Arkansas State in 2014. The Berin City, Nigeria, native gave CCU its first SBC long jump championship since Marquez Moore in 2017. Two-sport athlete Alex Spillum also earned CCU team points (2) when he placed seventh overall with a personal-best mark of 7.33 meters (-1.8).
Saunders transferred into the Chanticleers program from Akron and became an instant leader on the field as CCU won both the Sun Belt regular-season and conference tournament.
