PM Modi, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the damages caused by Cyclone Yaas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reviewed the post-cyclon situation and damages caused by Cyclone Yaas at a meeting in Odisha.
The Prime Minister was received by Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.
The review meeting happened at the airport conference hall, and is expected to continue till mid-day.
Cyclone Yaas, with wind speeds up to 145 kmph hit parts of the east coast on Wednesday, killing at least four people and leaving behind a trail of damaged homes and flooded farmland, forcing more than 21 lakh people to be evacuated to safe shelters in the states of West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand.

Union minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Pratap Sarangi sustained minor injuries on his nose as the Innova car in which he was travelling collided with a tractor near Podasula Chhak in the Nilagiri area, about 5km away from his residence in Balasore district on Sunday.
Sarangi’s PA and driver also sustained injuries. The minister’s condition is stated to be normal.
Officials said the accident took place around 3pm. Sarangi, who is the sitting MP from Balasore, was going to meet the family members of a person who died near his village.

Balasore (Odisha) [India], May 9 (ANI): Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi on Sunday sustained injuries after the car in which he was travelling hit by a tractor in Nilagiri area of Odisha s Balasore district.
The Union Minister himself informed about the accident on his Twitter handle. A Tractor hit my car today at Pudasul near Nilgiri when I was going to visit the distressed family members of a person who died in my constituency, Sarangi said in his tweet. Due to the grace of Lord Jagannath, the blessings of my revered mother and the good wishes of my people, I escaped with minor injuries to my nose. I am now fine. My PA, PSO in the car as also the Driver are also fine, he added.
Sarangi in NCDC program; promotes fish co-ops
Addressing a meeting at Chandpur in Odisha, Union Minister Pratap Sarangi called for development of fisheries related infrastructure in the state and formation of cooperatives in the sector, reports Statesman.
The minister said technologically enabled cooperatives could help the state realize great potential for development of the fisheries sector. The program was jointly held by Laxmanrao Inamdar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development (LINAC), NCDC and Department of Fisheries, Ministry of FAHD, at Chandipur.
Besides, Sarangi, Sundeep Kumar Nayak, Managing Director, NCDC, Dr J.K. Jena, Deputy Director General, Fisheries, ICAR, Sambit Tripathi, CEO, Livelihood alternative and Shardul Jadhav, Regional Director, NCDC, Odisha spoke at the meeting.
