I wanted to just give a brief comment to the Organizational Work thats been happening and a shoutout to defund sfpd now. We begin in San Francisco where the plan to reopen more businesses on monday came to a halt. They were preparing to move into the next phase. The state had just given San Francisco approval yesterday. But today mayor london breed announced shes halting the plan because of the spike in the number of confirmed covid19 cases. Weve gotten a little too comfortable. The fact that weve seen over 100 cases overnight completely changes our plans for reopening. So we got to put a pause on it. Mayor breed says its one of the toughest decisions shes had to make. The announcement came during honoring frontline workers at the hospital. Contra costa hospital is having second thoughts about resuming activities. Thats because the rate of people testing positive is growing. The hospital admissions have rise past week.
