Mayor breed says its one of the toughest decisions shes had to make. The announcement came during honoring frontline workers at the hospital. Contra costa hospital is having second thoughts about resuming activities. Thats because the rate of people testing positive is growing. The hospital admissions have rise past week. Contra costa report fd 92 new cases just today. All of those numbers have put them on a watch list with the state. Youre looking at whats expected to be open in Contra Costa County starting on wednesday. Indoor dining, bars and gyms. County Health Officials expected to decide if these businesses can reopen beforehand. In the south bay, Santa Clara County is also on californias watch list following a spike in covid19 cases and people being admitted to hospitals. The bay areas most populous county will enter the next stage of reopening in the coming weeks. Today, the chief Health Officer urged people to keep being careful. No activity could be made completely safe. Our success in this next phase depends on everyones faithful implementation of social distancing protocols, consistently wearing face coverings and collectively following new norms of behavior that keep the spread of covid19 as low as possible.
