EY and HSBC collectively hosted a virtual investment forum for Chinese businesses seeking investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Dr. Palitha Kohona, the Sri Lankan Ambassador to China delivering his keynote speech stated Sri Lanka must identify strategic opportunities and market them under the concept of ‘Sri Lanka as an Investment Destination’ not merely as being the pearl of the Indian Ocean.
He explained how Sri Lanka’s green credentials could help attract more versatile investors alongside BRI (Belt and Road initiative) and other initiatives such as development of infrastructure.

As Sri Lanka looks to entice foreign investors to encourage FDIs into the country, EY and HSBC collectively hosted a virtual investment forum for Chinese businesses seeking investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Two F 7 GS multi-role jet fighters brought the SLAF’s flypast at the Galle Face Green on Wednesday (3) to an end. The flypast conducted to mark the 70th anniversary of the SLAF was definitely the largest ever such show held either during the conflict or in the post-war period. Sri Lanka brought the war to a successful conclusion on the morning of May 19, 2009, on the banks of the Nanthikadal lagoon.
The conclusion of the flypast, featuring Bell 212, Bell 412 helicopters, Mi-17 helicopters, Cessna 150 aircraft, B200 Beech King aircraft, MA-60 aircraft, followed by a pair of F 7 GS jets, paved the way for a superlative IAF aerobatics display
