CASEVILLE – Caseville’s Chamber of Commerce announced the cancelation of Shanty Days last week on its Facebook page, following a scheduled meeting between the chamber’s board of directors.
According to the announcement, the Caseville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors came to the unanimous decision to cancel the winter festival due to current MDHHS guidelines that do not allow for many of the typical events.
“It was a tough decision,” said Chamber Vice President Levi Zagorski. “We feel like it’s the best decision we could make, given the current information we have.”
