The Prime Minister has promised to create an extra 10,000 prison places after an increase in Violent Crime. This will involve the building of new prisons and the expansion of existing ones at a cost of around two and a half billion pounds. Stop and search powers will also be extended to all Police Forces in England Wales which will allow police to stop someone in an area where they think a crime may be committed.
