Unsettling to wake up to hard to know what time it was all day long want to check in first with our chief meteorologist Lawrence Karnow. Obviously everyones wondering lawrence is going to happen again tomorrow. Yeah i think well start to see some improvement tomorrow were not going to see asked smoky conditions around the bay area but certainly. Theyll still be some smoke out there we had those north northeasterly winds remember were talking about the high fire danger yesterday, were worried about the real gusty winds. Well, those winds didnt cause or sparking fires around the bay area but we did have a fires that were already burning in far Northern California up you county near paradise they another fire burning there the bear fire lot of smoke filtering i
Through was just yellow and orange hues thats all that we saw pretty much all day long yesterday for most of the bay area now the big question everyone is asking is will it look like that again today well heres a live look from your berkeley cam right here and you can obviously still see that we do have an orange glow to it out there whether that were in just as intense as yesterday remains to be seen. But what we will see is a lot of smoke out there so we are going to have an impact with at least hazy and darker skies than usual as of right now we are seeing poor air quality for much of the north bay in the east bay, still some moderate conditions holding on a little bit closer to the coast in fact are impact as yesterday as compared is pretty similar. We have a thin marine layer just as we did yesterday for parts of the bay. We also still have smoke sitting right above us so we do have similar conditions as to what yesterday brought us and obviously that brought us a lot of orange a
Yesterday. Hes got the mass now haha Sarah Stinson up in grand county also giving us a look at air quality conditions there and then of course you only 7 is in the south bay and san jose giving us that shot were going hear from all of them. In just a moment, but first we have to begin our Team Coverage. With john in the Weather Center and as daria said john right again help. We called it gray out there. Yeah, gray take away the orange still dont have a lot of sunshine though making its way through its a mix here in timber on of both fog and then haze that is hanging out just above you. We are going to see a whole lot of that sunshine piercing its way through the debt smoky layer thats right above us sinking a little bit lower last night than it was yesterday and as its done so we are seeing as much of the orange light making its way through now just your typical bay gray, as were seeing this morning air quality even you know you might not smell. The smoke is pour weve had ash fall over
