Now this is going to pile up above 5,000 feet. 5 to 12 feet of snow. That includes Donner Summit. Roadways are going to be impassable. If you had plans on gelting to the sierra, cancel those plans, it is just a nogo. And if youre already up in the sierra, make sure to have emergency kit with you in several days worth of food. In the case, the power goes out to its not just the heavy snow, but strong winds gusting as high as 80 to 90 Miles Per Hour. As for the bay area are impact is going to be a little less severe, but it is going to impact us. Bit breezy out there so far. But as far as rain goes, most of us have just seen light showers, really heavy mist at this point. Coastal areas in north bay. You are seeing wet conditions on the roads. So take it a little slower in these areas. You can clearly see the where the rainfall is. A already is up along the north coast and you see all that speckled cloud cover offshore. These are called cellular clouds right here. And oftentimes for when its cold and unsettled, this is a sure sign of some Thunderstorm Development thats likely to work its way on into the bay area later today and on into tomorrow, too. You can actually see some of those thunderstorms developing later on today. And future cast those deeper areas of green and notice that blue becomes a lot more widespread leading into tomorrow and saturday.
