During the event, PM Modi interacted with some beneficiaries of PM-JANMAN as they highlighted the positive changes in their lives after they availed of government schemes.
In the last two months, 7500 camps have been organised in over 100 districts in which essential documents such as Adhar cards, birth certificates, and bank accounts are being made so that people can benefit from the schemes of the central government.
The most backward tribal communities live in about 190 districts, the PM said. More than 80,000 Ayushman cards have been distributed to them within two months, about 30,000 tribal farmers are getting the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and bank accounts of 40,000 beneficiaries have been opened. The prime minister further said that more than 30,000 underprivileged people have been given Kisan Credit Cards and about 11,000 have been given land leases under the Forest Rights Act.
