The girl’s father, Jimmy Hoffmeyer, told the Associated Press that when he complained to the principal, “She said she didn’t have the authority to do anything,” and instead asked “what she could do to make it go away.” According to Hoffmeyer, this was the second unasked-for chop his 7-year-old daughter, Jurnee, received in a single week.
