i want to get back to breaking news. i told you about it earlier this hour in the case against former house speaker dennis hastert. let s get right to nbc justice correspondent pete williams. pete, good morning. we know what s going on here because there was a very brief hearing about half an hour ago in federal court in chicago where these charges were filed. the lawyer for dennis hastert said he has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors in which he will enter a guilty plea, and the judge set a hearing for october 28th. now, hastert himself was not in court this morning. he would have to be present in order for a guilty plea to be entered. he has to personally be in court and talk to the judge, and then he does so freely and that kind of thing. so we don t know any of the terms of the deal. we don t know which of the charges he would plead guilty to. we don t know what kind of punishment the federal government would seek. he was charged with two counts in the federal indictm
