stop. fox 5 morning news continues right now. take a look outside this morning. we ll see some sunshine this morning at least. it is 6:00 right now on this tuesday, may 24th. good morning. thank you for being with us. i m sarah simmons. let s get to this. rescueers in missouri continue their search for any survivors from the massive tornado that hit on sunday night. seven teen people were pulled out alive yesterday from the rubble in joplin. right now, the death toll stands at 116. the state s governor expects that number to climb. little was spared. thousands of homes, churches and businesses were destroyed during this. a major hospital also saw a lot of damage. six people there were killed, five patients and one visitor. residents say they cannot believe what the twister did. it is a disaster. i never seen anything like it so i really can t describe it. i was planning on helping where it was really torn up but there is nothing really to help. it is just flattened.
