Traffic diverted in many parts of Delhi due to farmers protest ANI | Updated: Feb 02, 2021 11:01 IST New Delhi [India], February 2 (ANI): The Delhi Police diverted vehicular traffic at Akshardham and Nizammudin Khatta towards Anand Vihar, Chilla, Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway, Apsara, Bhopra, and Loni borders on Tuesday due to the farmers agitation at the Ghazipur (Delhi-Uttar Pradesh) border. Traffic from Singhu, Saboli, Piau Maniyari borders has also been closed. The police have advised avoiding Outer Ring Road, GTK road, and NH44. National Highway (NH) 24, NH 9, Road Number 56, 57 A, Kondli, Paper market, Telco T point, EDM Mall are closed for vehicular traffic.

PTI Photo Tribune News Service New Delhi, February 2 Multi-layered security has been stepped up with the deployment of extra personnel and strengthening of barricades near the farmers’ protest sites at Delhi’s borders, and thereby turning them into fortresses. Besides additional deployment of forces, the Delhi Police have cemented nails near barricades at Ghazipur (Delhi-Ghaziabad) and Tikri (Delhi-Rohtak) borders. Police have also heavily barricaded the Ghazipur border. Barbed wire and cement barricades have been planted on the roads to restrict the movement of farmers.
