History of Pennsylvania Turnpike topic of talk at Phoenixville Public Library

PHOENIXVILLE Learn about “The History of the Pennsylvania Turnpike” in a free presentation at Phoenixville Public Library on Monday, Oct. 16 at 6:45 p.m. Kendra Cook of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles will be the presenter. The Pennsylvania Turnpike was the first of its kind and received nationwide acclaim as an engineering marvel. It was touted as “America’s First Superhighway” when it opened on Oct. 1, 1940, and was the national standard for superhighway design and engineering. Phoenixville Public Library schedules upcoming events

Protecting assets Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “Protecting Assets for the Senior Years,” on Monday, Sept. 25, at 6:45 PM. Sean Curran of Curran Estate & Elder Law PPLC will be the speaker. His program will cover the dos and don’ts of estate planning, Medicaid, and how to protect your assets from nursing homes.  This event is free and open to the public.
