[whistling] it s good to be with you. i m i i m chris jansing in for katy tur. we are live in highland park, illinois. we are just down the street where a gunman took the lives of six people at the fourth of july parade. there is a lot of activity here. you can still see the police tape. just about 90 minutes ago, we got a lot of information about the suspect, a 21-year-old who lived just a few minutes from here. police now say he had been planning yesterday s attack for weeks before climbing on to a roof at the start of the parade and firing into a crowd. police say their investigation shows he ultimately fired more than 70 rounds and just about an hour ago, we also learned this, that during the attack, he was dressed in womens clothing in an attempt to escape the scene undetected
Which means while they are finding more bodies, they could also find more survivors. Thats right. When i was here in turkey back in february, there was a devastating twin earthquake here that killed Tens Of Thousands of people. And we thought, wow, we hope the novels dont go up to that level. There are people being dragged out of wreckage, five, six days afterwards. Thats something were hoping we can see in morocco, outside of marrakech. As you mentioned, this was a 6. 8 earthquake on the richter scale. As you said, this is the strongest they fell in 123 years. So what were seeing now, a coordinated Rescue Effort between local authorities and the moroccan military, trying to get, out as you mentioned, to some of these more remote areas. This is going to be a struggle. Because you know, they havent actually officially, the government of morocco, asked for any foreign assistance. Weve heard the United States and france have offered assistance, if accepted by the moroccan government. And

Most recently known for his hbo hit the newsroom. He woke up to a harsh headline mother jones this morning. It says that sorkin said the Huffington Post sucks. He had this response to me. Im here in d. C. I did an event last night for the new republic at the Motion Picture association. We screened this sundays episode and there was a q a after. And mother jones, terrific outlet, posted a story this morning saying that i said the Huffington Post sucks. And i certainly did not say that. The headline writer didnt take me out of context. The headline writer didnt exaggerate. The headline writer lied. And i just want to make sure that david corn, everybody im sorry, that arianna and everybody at the Huffington Post knows that i did never and would never say that. Well, we reached out to mother jones to get a comment. I actually spoke with david corn, the bureau chief of the Washington Bureau and he said mother jones has withdrawn that sucks headline.
