City of Perry looks to buy Hotel Pattee in partnership with economic development group Thursday, January 21, 2021 2:39 PM
Perry News: The city of Perry and the local investment group Perry Economic Development Inc. are looking to partner in purchasing the Hotel Pattee, a plan discussed last week at a work session of the Perry City Council. Proponents say the new ownership arrangement, if successful, will ensure the stability and long-term sustainability of the hotel at the hub of the Perry economy and put an end to the ownership merry-go-round that has become a pattern since 2008, with four owners in 13 years.

PERRY, Ga. On December 14, the Perry City Council discussed alternative sentencing for those going to municipal court. This means house arrest could be an option instead of jail time for those facing charges in municipal court. Our municipal court came to the administration and asked us to consider an alternative form of sentencing for prisoners and it did come from the courts, City of Perry Mayor Randall Walker said.
Perry Police Chief Steve Lynn says this option would apply only to those who committed nonviolent crimes.
